I will post about the Unesco site in the order I laid my eyes on them.. From Marrakech I took a 3-day organised trip to the desert, and on the way we stopped by Ait-Ben-Haddou, a ksar (fortified city) along the former caravan route between the Sahara and Marrakech. Ten families still live within the ksar! Many movies have been filmed there, among them Jesus Of Nazareth (1977), Gladiator (2000) and Kingdom Of Heaven (2005). And its kinda cool when you watch a movie and yell 'I've been there..!' sounding all smug and silly I suppose.
