Punta Arenas, Chile

Here you can see the largest city south of the 46th parallel, Punta Arenas. It is the capital of Chile's southernmost region Magellanas and Antarctica Chileana, and one of only two free ports in the country. As the kind sender Ramon mentioned, there are also Croatian landmarks in the city, as many have migrated there between the two wars.

There is not only Chile on these stamps, but also a popular comic book character Condorito, read throughout the whole of the South America - I am not entirely sure where I first 'met' him, but I think it might have been Ecuador, although he was 'born and raised' in a fictional Chilean town of Pellotilehue (and he is as old as my mum :)). I even bought one of the comic books as a souvenir, hmm now I wonder where i put it...And this is the third and the last entry for this week's Sunday Stamps, letter C! I guess I either skip it or overdo it *grin*

Sunset At Borobudur Temple, Indonesia

I have posted a Borobudur Temple card before as part of my UNESCO collection, but have failed to mentioned there it is indeed the world's largest Buddhist temple. This is an absolutely amazing view. I really hope to visit Indonesia one day...The way things are going now, this may be in a farther future only.

Sunset In Taipei, Taiwan

Today, a short time after a real-time sunset, I've decided to dedicate to sunset views :) This one thanks to my busy-bee friend Nat.

The most prominent building on this picture is the Taipei 101, formerly known as the Taipei World Financial Center, a landmark supertall skyscraper in Xinyi District, Taipei, Taiwan. The building was officially classified as the world's tallest in 2004 (509,2 m), and remained such until the completion of the Burj Khalifa in Dubai (829,8 m) in 2010. In 2011, the building was awarded the LEED platinum certification, the highest award according to the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design rating system, and became the tallest and largest green building in the world.

UNESCO - Ir.D.F. Woudagemaal, The Netherlands

The Wouda Pumping Station at Lemmer in the province of Friesland opened in 1920. It is the largest steam-pumping station ever built and is still in operation. It represents the high point of the contribution made by Netherlands engineers and architects in protecting their people and land against the natural forces of water - it is a steam-driven installation to prevent flooding of the low-lying areas of Friesland.

The Smallest Town In The World

Hum is a town in the central part of Istria peninsula, northwest Croatia. This small fortified habitation has maintained all the features of medieval urban architecture and organization. It has a population of only 17 people (2001 census), but is officially a town, and is the Guinness World Record holder for the smallest town in the world.

Its cool to have one of the Guiness -ests in one's country..! It looks perfectly charming too - I just looove the stone houses and cobbled streets. I have never been there but is of course on my list. Hvala Nato! :))

Huangguoshu Waterfall, China

Huangguoshu Waterfall, or "Yellow-Fruit Tree Waterfalls", is located on the Baishui River, near Anshun City in Guizhou province, southern China. It is the biggest (not the tallest!) waterfall in Asia. Would be cool to join these people for a walk eh? :)

A View Of Singapore From The Top

This is a view of the City of Singapore/the business district from The Singapore Flyer, the world's tallest observation wheel. I love the world's -ests :))) It was constructed in 2005-2008 and is 42 stories high - the whopping 165 meters!
