Another official yum card comes from Sweden from Jessica, and after some internet search I learn that Kantarellsmörgås is a Chantarelle sandwich, Chantarelle being a mushroom type. I am a big mushroom fan, so yea this is yum :)

UNESCO - Skogskyrkogården, Sweden
I guess it is normally not expected to find a cemetery on the whs list...but here it is, and quite a serene sunset view at that :) Again a lucky catch in the forum tag, thank you Merja!
Skogskyrkogården is the Stockholm cemetery created between 1917 and 1920 by two young
architects, Asplund and Lewerentz, on the site of former gravel pits
overgrown with pine trees. The design blends vegetation and
architectural elements, taking advantage of irregularities in the site
to create a landscape that is finely adapted to its function. What can't be seen here are the headstones situated among the trees...I must say, a great place for eternal rest..!

Soldattorps In Sweden
Soldattorps are soldier cottages in use in Sweden and Finland for centuries up to the early 1900s. Now they are a pefect getaway (!) for holidays, Karin said to have had a cafe in one of them which must have been just lovely!

Stockholm Old Town, Sweden
One of my favourite posties from Sweden is this view of Stockholm's Gamla stan (Old Town), it looks so quaint and pleasant..! It consists primarily of the island Stadsholmen which is relatively small; it dates back to the 13th century, and consists of medieval alleyways, cobbled streets, and archaic architecture. Stortorget is the name of the scenic large square in the centre of Gamla Stan, which is surrounded by old merchants' houses. Looks lovely!

UNESCO - Royal Domain Of Drottningholm, Sweden
The Royal Domain of Drottningholm stands on an island in Lake Mälar in a suburb of Stockholm. With its castle, perfectly preserved theatre (built in 1766), Chinese pavilion and gardens, it is the finest example of an 18th-century north European royal residence inspired by the Palace of Versailles.
Views of the palace from the fron and east side. It is today the private residence of the Swedish royal family.
Another great swap with Katja (who used some of the more interesting Swedish stamps that I've seen), thanks :))

UNESCO - Visby, Sweden
Hanseatic Town of Visby is the best-preserved fortified commercial town in northern Europe. It is situated on the island of Gotland, was an important Viking site and later in the 13th century flourished as the main centre of The Hanseatic League (economic alliance of trading cities).
This card has a vintage feeling to it, and shows people as they would have been dressed all those centuries ago...Thank you MerJade, and for the fantastic stamps - probably the nicest I've received from Sweden so far! :)))

Rolf Lidberg Troll Cards, Sweden
I really wanted to have a Rolf Lidberg card, so when I saw an offer for three used cards in an envelope i took my chance :) I dont really mind if the cards are not addressed to me, as long as they are nice and are stamped! This way i've seen more Swedish stamps and the back of the cards are really cool too :)) It seems that these were sent for a lottery or some other kind of game!
Thank you suvi/nediam_nori for this swap :D

Ship Götheborg, Stockholm, Sweden
Another lovely card from Katja/lellykate for the RR :)
I really enjoy this view of the East Indiaman Götheborg, the world's largest operational wooden sailing vessel. It is actually a replica of the 18th-century vessel that sank in front of its harbour Gothenburg, returning from its third voyage to China. The remnants were found in 1984, and the replica was launched in 2003. Two years later it sailed the route to China, visiting many harbours on the way. The ship is still cruising the northern seas, so there still might be a chance to watch it glide thru the water :)

Pippi Långstrump, Sweden
The Pippi Langstrumpf card - complete with matching stamp! - was sent to me from a postcrossing meeting in Stockholm :) thanks to Anja from Germany! I hope they all had a wonderful time; I so hope to participate in one of these meetings soon...at least a small Croatian one :)
I guess Pippi Langstrumpf/Longstockings (written by Astrid Lindgren) is one of the most popular characters from children's classic books. I remember dressing up like her during the carnival, and jumping around leading the parade! Sometimes i wonder at myself for being so brave heh.

Animal Map Card, Sweden
I love the Scandinavian countries but they are not that frequent on postcrossing, so i was very happy when lellykate joined my host group :) I have never received an animal map card before...this may even help me learn swedish as all the animal names are in the original language! I also love the stamps with the national flag :))) Huge thanks to Katja for sending me this map card for CaCrr!
