Official - NI - Olives

A quintessential olive postcard heh; I actually bought one of these some time ago, but am much happier having one sent to me by Daniela (who had this postcard for a while and wondered who'd ever want an olive card, and here I am!). 

Funny how both 'good' cards received officially are about olives or olive trees.

Its been a while since I posted a multiple...and since I've received one to be frank. So I found this little shop in Ghent which had quite a selection, and the day was sunny and relaxing, just right for a picnic :) (wish I could transport myself there right now..!)

NI Multiples - African Masks

This excellent NI card was sent to me by dear sis way before postcrossing and my knowledge of NI existance - it shows the African masks of Gabon, Zaire, Burkina, Congo and Ivory Coast. I got two similar masks at home, a present from a drifting nomad who travelled Mali :)

I feel so lucky when i can tag a NI card! These are often offered as a special trade, and more often than not i have nothing to offer in return :(  Which is why i dont intend to actively collect these cards, sadly. For now i am happy to get an occasional card which represents something that i really like - in this case a fancy breakfast and yes CHEESE. :)))

When i finally get to travel to France i think i'll suffocate in cheese and wine :D

NI Multiples - The Olive

This is my 1st Nouvelles Images card :) I have chosen olives because they are such a part of dalmatian tradition - as long as i can remember we've been making our own olive oil, and lately my dad has become keen on salting olives and preserving them for eating xD
