Enniskillen Castle, Northern Ireland

Little remains of the original Enniskillen Castle but its 17th century turreted gateway...today it houses two museums and is a popular tourist spot. I mean, who can resist castles..?! And its virtually behind the sender's corner - thank you for this lovely card Desiree :))

UNESCO - Giant's Causeway, Northern Ireland

Giant's Causeway (Clochán an Aifir in Irish) is a natural phenomena situated in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. It consists of over 40 thousand mostly hexagonal basalt columns, the result of an ancient vulcano eruption. Because of its surreal appearance the site was an inspiration for numerous myths and legends.

I do collect Unesco cards sent from their country of origin - so I will be looking for a UK card too :) Sadly the lovely stamps have been cancelled by pen, something that i've already heard of when it comes to Ireland...but luckily i have these on other postcards too! xD

Views Of Northern Ireland

Lucky for me Ash also went for a short trip to the Northern Ireland :) And he did well, sending three different aspects of the country.

Murals in Northern Ireland have become its symbol, depicting the past and present in the spirit of the political events of the time - almost 2000 in number, they promote either republican or royalist political beliefs. Such a turbulent history in such a small space...something I can relate to, and should learn more about it.
