The Bridge Of Sighs - i have heard of it, but never imagined this name was given to it because it connects the old prisons to the interrogation rooms, so the convits would allegedly sigh at their last view at Venice..! Nowdays it is said that lovers will be granted everlasting love and bliss if they kiss on a gondola at sunset under the bridge. A tourist trap that surely works!
This is my favourite card of Venice so far - thanks to edo and the offers tag :) And the Europa stamp is just wonderful!
