UNESCO - Tsingy De Bemaraha Strict Nature Reserve, Madagascar

Tsingy de Bemaraha Strict Nature Reserve comprises karstic landscapes and limestone uplands cut into impressive 'tsingy' peaks and a 'forest' of limestone needles, the spectacular canyon of the Manambolo river, rolling hills and high peaks. The undisturbed forests, lakes and mangrove swamps are the habitat for rare and endangered lemurs and birds.
Madagascar was the most solid plan for travel this winter, until plans for my friend changed, and due to circumstances it is not feasible to go on my own...It has made me very sad to realise I won't see those cute lemurs after all...but Christine spent a holiday there (*green*) and was so kind to send this card, thanks a bunch!
