And a new overseas department (of France) in my collection :) This of course means it is sent with French stamps and cancellation - if there is an original Réunion cancellation I'd have to wait for ca. million years to get it, as I don't have luck with these things ;)
Nevertheless I am thrilled to have received this unique postcard, which shows Formica Leo, a small volcanic crater of the Piton de la Fournaise active volcano on the eastern side of Réunion island. The volcano is part of the Unesco WHS site Pitons, cirques and remparts of Reunion Island, inscribed in 2010. Now, this crater looks so small on this photo, but is presumably a trick on the eye because this looks like a view from up high (also when you see other photos of it you see its surrounded with, well, nothing..!) hm I just can't find the size info.
Thanks so much Marion, its a great choice! xD
Moja jedina razglednica sa Reuniona ima na pečatu neki broj, i ja ga guglao, i našao da je tapošta u jednom gradu na Reunionu :)
