Donkeys Overload

Last month I have done a multiple swap with Snježana who also loves donkeys and happened to have some doubles to share - she used some excellent stamps! First full set from 2001 with comic illustrations, second full set from 2013 with honey flowers. Hvala Snježa :))

Street Taxi In Trinidad, Cuba

Of course I was thrilled to find a donkey postcard in Trinidad! This is a prepaid card and is one of the first to arrive, sadly another one for my UNESCO collection and one for a friend sent with real stamps didn't make it...I didn't see this fellow on the streets - but lots of horse carts, as this street sign would suggest :)

UNESCO - Monastery Of Sanahin, Armenia

Actually the full name of the site is Monasteries of Haghpat and Sanahin, and although I'd normally want to receive both monasteries before posting here, I don't think it will happen any time soon, and I am just too excited about my first viewcard from Armenia for it not to be shown!
Both were Byzantine monasteries in the Tumanian region from the period of prosperity during the Kiurikian dynasty (10th to 13th century). They were important centres of learning - Sanahin was renown for its school of illuminators and calligraphers. It consists of a large group of buildings on the plateau above the Debet gorge and skilfully integrated into the impressive mountain landscape.
Thanks so much Patrik! :))

UNESCO - Srebarna Nature Reserve, Bulgaria

The Srebarna Nature Reserve is a freshwater lake adjacent to the Danube and extending over 600 ha. It is the breeding ground of almost 100 species of birds, many of which are rare or endangered. Some 80 other bird species migrate and seek refuge there every winter. Among the most interesting bird species are the Dalmatian pelican, great egret, night heron, purple heron, glossy ibis and white spoonbill.
I am especially curious about the Dalmatian pelican! On some weeks it just so coincides that I receive many postcards from one particular country, lately it has been Bulgaria - and all the cards are just so excellent, what a beautiful country. I have Irina to thank for this new unesco card :)

EUROPA Chain Postcard

2nd chain postcard success - it actually ran parallel to the 1st one, this time we were using this year's EUROPA stamp issues with the theme musical instruments. I had an unwritten postcard from Cuba that fit the theme perfectly, and here is the end result :) Croatian and Slovenian have similar colours, and Finnish and Luxembourg are equally multi-colour :)
Many thanks to Leonardo, Mervi and Anne!

Official - Vladivostok

Last week I have received 9 official postcards - I waited quite a long time for them to start arriving, and then I realised my address was obtained weeks after my sent cards were registered. Doesn't feel quite right..!
Still, I am happy with the cards that I have received, like this view of the cruiser ship The World anchored in the Russia's Pacific Coast port Vladivostok.

Green Iguana From French Guiana

Such a great surprise in my mailbox last week, iguana card from French Guiana! These fellas here have such bright colours, thanks a lot Cheryll :))
Btw if anyone is familiar with postcodes in French overseas territories...any idea what 25926A stands for? It is not the FG code but also for any other place, according to google. Puzzled!
