I have tried to find out more about these lanterns...but I only find general info. In Chinese tradition lanterns are lit for different festivals (mid-autumn festival, chinese valentine's...) and can be let flying into the air or floating on a body of water...they are also called wish lights - you can see something written on these lanterns. If anyone could tell me anything more...:) Thank you Vickie :)

Mom And Child In Lapland, Finland
The traditional Sami costume is called Gákti - its colors, patterns and the jewellery of the clothing can tell if a person is single or married and where the person is from. Traditionally the gákti was made from reindeer leather, but nowadays it's more common to use wool, cotton or silk.
Great colours and a wonderful photo, thanks Sini! :)
Qin Keqing Illustration, China
The message on the postcard was almost as mysterious as the story of the beautiful and flirtatious woman called Qin Keqing, a character from one of the Chinese four great classic novels Dream Of The Red Chamber. This cute illustration has much more of a story than expected! Thank you zeroro :)
UNESCO - Group Of Monuments At Mahabalipuram, India
Mahabalipuram was a 7th century port city of the Pallava Dynasty, situated in the southeastern Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Various historic monuments at the site are mostly rock-cut and monolithic and show the early stages of the Dravidian architecture. This picture shows a giant open-air relief called Descent of the Ganges, which measures 29 meters in length and is 13 m high.
Simply beautiful. Thank you again Anaita :)

This is a card that I have in my offers album but I was happy to receive it from dear Tina who was on her yearly holiday in Croatia and got it for me :) It is one of my favourite donkey cards because it is a reminder of past laborious times in my region...and what can I say about the stamp? It looks so delicious I wanted to bite that corner of the postcard off! Još jednom hvala Tina ;)
