UNESCO - St. Catherine's Monastery, Egypt

St. Catherine's Monastery, or Santa Katarina, is one of the oldest working Christian monasteries in the world. It is Orthodox and situated at the mouth of a gorge at the foot of Mount Sinai. It is said that the relics of the eponymous martyr Saint Catherine of Alexandria were miraculously transported to Mount Sinai after her death by beheading in the 4th century.
The place looks amazing, thank you Zane for sending this card from your holidays! :)))

Constellation Southern Cross, New Zealand

Southern Cross is an English name for Crux, the smallest of the 88 modern constellations, easily seen from the southern hemisphere. The brightest four of the five stars appear on the flags of Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, Papua New Guinea and Samoa.
I love the starry sky! Its been a while since I looked at a stellar map so am getting a bit rusty, but can still discern certain constellations and it feels pretty good xD Thank you Annie/wildfire for this cool card!

Gaudi Map, Barcelona, Spain

Most of Gaudi's fascinating architecture is concentrated in the Catalan capital Barcelona; seven were declared World Heritage Sites. A brilliant map card, tagged in an offer tag - thank you gaquero :)

Mr. Curious From The Netherlands

It is great to unexpectedly receive such a cute addition to one's collection :) For my Morocco group in Choose a Country RR sent by Mirjam, thank you so much! :)
Oh and something new learnt today - there are many kinds of wild asses, e.g. onager (Asiatic wild ass), kiang (Himalayan wild ass) and African Wild Ass. Alas the European kind is long extinct :( How great would it be to have cards with them too..?!

Audrey Loves Animals

Yes Audrey Hepburn is a charming lady - but even more so when showing affection for animals :) Especially the cutest little donkey foal!
Private swap with Olga/kAchirka, thank you :)

St. Hilarion Castle, (Northern) Cyprus

Saint Hilarion Castle is situated in the Kyrenia Mountains in Northern Cyprus; at first it was a monastery (10th cent.) named after a saint who allegedly chose this place for hermitage, later in the 11th cent. the Byzantines begun fortification. Much of the castle was dismantled by the Venetians in the 15th century.

The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) is a self-declared state, recognised only by Turkey; it is considered under occupation by the international community. However, they have separate postal system from Cyprus - this is why I was so thrilled to be able to do this swap! On top of everything, I received such an amazing view :) Huge thanks to crtekoza who offered to send cards from her travels xD

UNESCO - Segovia, Spain

Segovia is an old city in the largest Spanish autonomous community of Castile and León. The culturally diverse old city and its well-preserved roman aqueduct are the reason for the inscription onto the Unesco whs list. This postcard shows the Segovia Cathedral, known as The Lady of Cathedrals, built in the 16th century in late Gothic style.
Another great Unesco swap with Fabienne, thank you :)
