Yakushima, Japan

Yakushima is one of the Osumi Islands in SW Japan, off the south coast of the bigger Kyushu Island. It covers an area of ca. 500 km² and counts roughly 15 000 inhabitans.Yakushima's unique remnant of a warm-temperate ancient forest is a natural World Heritage Site since 1993. Its Japan's wettest place, where the rain is said to fall '35 days a month'.
This beautiful deer in the Yakusugi Forest was sent by Yumi via unesco tag, many thanks! :)

Hot Streams In Tengchong, China

As i saw this photo in the offers tag i just couldnt help wondering what its about - and i had to have it :)
Tengchong County (Yunnan province, SW China) is well-known for its volcanic activity; there are over 80 steaming fountain hot streams and boiling fountains. Also, there is an abundance of plantlife - esp the blossoms of the rhododendrons, some of which are rare species.
I like the sound of this place, a lot to discover for a keen traveller!
Thank you mottstreet :)

British Royal Family

A lovely portrait of the newlyweds, pre-stamped from Canada. On the 2nd one the fellows aka princes playing polo, 'The Sport Of Kings'.  It is so british in my head that it surprised me greatly that polo originates from Persia...
Thank you Kelly/AlbertaGirl for the private swap; and Serena/AllSerene on choosing a card from my favs for the RR :) and a winnie-the-pooh stamp!

Beduin People Of Israel

A wonderful multiview of the Beduin, the desert-dwelling Arab ethnic group. (here from around Beersheba, 'The Capital Of Negev'). Negev Bedouins hold close ties to the Bedouin of the Sinai peninsula, and face great changes of their traditional lifestyle. I hope the postcards wont become just a reminder of the way things were..! This card was in my favourites until Debora/chatte_noire tagged me - thank you :)))

NI Multiples - Breakfast / Cheese

Breakfast

Sheep Cheese

I feel so lucky when i can tag a NI card! These are often offered as a special trade, and more often than not i have nothing to offer in return :(  Which is why i dont intend to actively collect these cards, sadly. For now i am happy to get an occasional card which represents something that i really like - in this case a fancy breakfast and yes CHEESE. :)))
When i finally get to travel to France i think i'll suffocate in cheese and wine :D

Thank you Greets for offering;
And thank you Sanne/Blue79 for tagging favourites :)

Reindeer From Lapland

So cute, the young reindeer peeking from behind the bush :)
I cannot be sure (the animal clasifications sometimes downright confuse me :-/) but this could be the Finnish Forest Reindeer, an endangered species. But more likely a mountain reindeer. Any tips welcome..!
Thank you Anu/ichabodhides for the swap, and great stamps! :D

The Sheep Family

This cute sheep family arrived from Germany via private swap - thank you Jana/terra :)

California State Map Card

Ange/xxiiangel send me this card from my favourites and lovely looove stamps, for TM rr :) The States really have such cool maps, bright and colourful...and educational. So Quail is the state bird of California! So much to see in this state alone, let alone the whole of the USA...its intimidating heh.
