Anse Source d'Argent Beach, La Digue, Seychelles

Today is a panoramic day! (could there be such an international day i wonder? ;)) Starting with a new country in my collection and one panoramic card I've received last week - beautiful Seychelles :)

The Republic of Seychelles is an island country/archipelago of 115 islands in the Indian Ocean, some 1500 kilometres east of mainland Africa, northeast of the island of Madagascar. It is assumed that Austronesian seafarers, and later Maldivian and Arab traders were the first to visit the uninhabited Seychelles, whereas the French began to take control in 1756, and later the UK. Independence was granted in 1976 as a republic within the Commonwealth.
The photo shows Anse Source d'Argent, one of the most picturesque beaches on La Digue - the third largest inhabited island of the Seychelles. Many thanks to Yves for such a fine choice! :))
